On Debian GNU/Linux systems, the complete text of the GNU General
Public License (Version 2.0) can be found in
/usr/share/common-licenses/GPL.
The package was initially put together for the Debian project by
Christoph Lameter at the end of September 1996
It has been significantly reworked for the 2.2 kernel series by Stephen
Zander, the current maintainer.
