A few features of the Ipe user interface can be changed in the
Preferences dialog (in the Help menu).

The keyboard shortcuts used by Ipe can be customized to your
personal taste. The standard shortcut assignment is stored in an XML
file ipekeys.xml (the exact location of this file can be found
by under Help/Preferences/Search paths/Ipe
key assignment). You can make your personal copy of this file, edit
it to taste, and store it in your home directory (the exact location
of your personalization file can be found by under
Help/Preferences/Search paths/User key
assignment).

You can use shortcuts consisting of more than one key, such as
Ctrl+X,Ctrl+C. Use commas to separate the key presses--up to
four are supported.

Ipe also contains support for localizing the user interface into
another language. Contact me if you wish to do such a localization
project.
