The directory ip-routing contains:

NEW

- iproute2.tar.gz - new utility set written for kernel,
  patched by PATCH-*+iproute-*

- Patch PATCH-*+iproute-*.gz. It is available only
for kernels 2.1.51 ("cookied" version) and 2.1.42 ("raw") at the moment.
raw version is really raw i.e. contains a lot of local/debugging garbage
but it is the version that really works.
"Cookied" is cookied for "export", but it was never tested. I am
not sure that while "cooking" I did not amputate an organ
  critical for life :-)

- gated.dif-iproute2-ss<NEWEST>.gz - gated-R3_6Alpha_2 fixes.
  Look at README.gated for details.

INVARIANT

- rdisc.tar.gz - rdisc daemon, ported from Sun.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL IP HOSTS.

- mrouted-3.8.dif.gz - mrouted-3.8 fixes.

HISTORIC

- iproute.c - "professional" routing table maintainance utility
  for kernels 2.1.17-2.1.51-.....

- routing.tgz - original Mike McLagan's route by source patch.
		Currently it is obsolete.

- gated.dif-ss<NEWEST>.gz - gated-R3_6Alpha_2 fixes.
	        Look at README.gated

- rtmon.c - trivial debugging utility: reads and stores netlink.
