irm for Debian
--------------

This a debian pre-packaged version of the resource tracking system IRM.

The PHP scripts required for operation are located in /usr/share/irm/www.
All configuration is located in /etc/irm.

IRM natively has the ability to authenticate users via LDAP. This is
disabled by default in this package. To enable it, you'll need to install
php4-ldap and edit /etc/irm/ldap.ini appropriately.

To start using IRM, open the IRM web location with your browser
(http://localhost/irm by default), and log in as the user Admin with 'admin'
as the password. Please change the passwords on all of the standard
accounts.

Config Changes
----------------

As of IRM 1.5.1, configuration is stored in a number of INI files in
/etc/irm, instead of config.inc.php. If you have modified config.inc.php
manually, you will need to adapt the INI files to match. Several
configuration items are no longer required to be set; in that case, you're
home free.
