Information about jaxws
-----------------------
This package was debianized using the mh_make command
from the maven-debian-helper package.
The build system uses Maven but prevents it from downloading
anything from the Internet, making the build compliant with
the Debian policy.
Testing
-------
The JAX-WS Reference Implementation provides several examples
that can be useful to check if the package is working properly.
The procedure looks like this:
* Build the package and install libjaxws-java and jaxws
* Declare the JAXWS_HOME environment variable:
export JAXWS_HOME=/usr/share/jaxws/
* Go into the supplychain example directory (relatively to the
source package root):
cd jaxws-ri/samples/src/main/samples/supplychain
* Start the web server with:
ant server-j2se
* Open a new terminal and build the client:
ant client
* Run the client:
ant run
* Stop the server:
ant server-j2se-stop
* Repeat the procedure for these other examples:
jaxws-ri/samples/src/main/samples/fromjava
jaxws-ri/samples/src/main/samples/external-metadata-fromwsdl
If an exception occurs at any moment then there is something wrong.
The typical error is NoClassDefFoundError/ClassNotFoundException
caused by an incomplete classpath, either for the jaxws-rt.jar file
or one of its dependencies. Update the Class-Path attribute in the
MANIFEST.MF file and try again.
