<h3>JSwat</h3>
<p>JSwat is a standalone, graphical Java debugger front-end,
written to use the <a
href="http://java.sun.com/products/jpda/">Java Platform
Debugger Architecture (JPDA)</a> library provided by
JavaSoft. JSwat is licensed under the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html">GNU General
Public License</a> which makes it freely available in both
binary and source code form.</p>
<p>Features include breakpoints with conditionals and
monitors; colorized source code display; graphical display
panels showing threads, stack frames, visible variables, and
loaded classes; command interface for more advanced features;
and Java-like expression evaluation.</p>

<h3>Requirements</h3>
<p>The 1.x versions of JSwat require JDK 1.2.2 or better. The
2.x versions require JDK 1.4 or better. All versions of JSwat
require the JPDA library. This is generally included with the
JDK. See the README file for detailed instructions.</p>

#655</em></p>

<li class="copy">Updated README file with better
instructions and more information.</li>
<li class="copy">Added documentation for the Start VM
dialog.</li>
<li class="copy">Implemented RFE 43: added a tooltip to the
locals panel to display detailed information about the
variable under the mouse.</li>
<li class="copy">Implemented RFE 267: added popup menu to
threads panel for suspending, resuming, and interrupting
the threads.</li>

popup menu to manage breakpoints even when session is

properties dialog does not slip behind the main window when

default to wrong directory on their initial appearance
(should be current working directory).</li>

breakpoint no longer halts when a thread is told to stop

set automatically only during the startup of JSwat.

classpath and sourcepath via dialog. Apparenlty JDK 1.2
does not properly support multi-selection, so it has be
disabled.</li>

user-visible strings provided by Kenji Nakamura. This does
