            <function>glGenVertexArrays</function> returns <parameter>n</parameter> vertex array object names in <parameter>arrays</parameter>.
            There is no guarantee that the names form a contiguous set of integers; however, it is guaranteed that none of the returned names
            was in use immediately before the call to <function>glGenVertexArrays</function>.
        </para>
        <para>
            Vertex array object names returned by a call to <function>glGenVertexArrays</function> are not returned by subsequent calls, unless
            they are first deleted with <citerefentry><refentrytitle>glDeleteVertexArrays</refentrytitle></citerefentry>.
        </para>
        <para>
            The names returned in <parameter>arrays</parameter> are marked as used, for the purposes of <function>glGenVertexArrays</function> only,
            but they acquire state and type only when they are first bound.
        </para>
