Define-before-use constraints</A>
</H2>
In older versions of Kimwitu,
both <EM>phyla</EM> and <EM>operators</EM> had to be defined before their use in
a pattern such as appears in function definitions and rewrite rules.
More recent versions of Kimwitu no longer impose this constraint (version <I>V3_0</I> or newer).
