----- README -------------------------------------------------------------------
Serenity is a window decoration for KDE 3.x based on my previous original
Powder windec engine.
This windec is meant to be used with the matching Serenity style. The buttons
can have the same look and have the same behavior than buttons in Serenity
style. Their color change slightly on mouseover and they use the selected text
background color when pressed. Toggle buttons (maximizer, sticky, keep above
or below) actually behave like checkboxes. Instead of having a different
icon when activated, they remain pressed until you de-activate them. The
titlebars of all the windows behave like radiobuttons; only the active window
has a selected title until another window becomes active.
About the colors: Serenity only uses the title text color, eventually the
titlebar color and the frame color on request, all other colors are the ones
used by the style: window background and selected text background. It should
fit with any style although it is not meant to. The only problem that you may
encounter is that a dark selected text background may make the symbols
disappear instead of hilighting them. My advise is to use the same color for
the normal and the selected text i.e. not to use inverted text for selection.
That is the way all the provided colorschemes are. Check and you will see that
it is more legible.
(Please note that more colorschemes can be found within the sources of Serenity
style. They will be automatically installed if you install it too.)
Well, I hope Serenity is something never seen before. Enjoy it! ;-)
