These variables control Demeter's treatment of dispersive XAS data

This is the default value for Demeter's initial guess of the
quadratic term for the calibration. 0 is usually an acceptible
value. However if you find that data from a particular detector or
beamline or experiment consistently has a quadratic term of a
certain size, the refinement might be helped along by setting this
accordingly.

The algorithm for finding the initial guesses for the calibration
parameters is usually helped along by setting a large value for the
bkg_nor2 used in normalizaing the pixel-valued data. The default of
1000 works pretty well for all of Demeter's test cases. This is
currently only used in Athena.
