    <p>This is a simplified interface to <code xref="mongoc_client_command">mongoc_client_command()</code>. It returns the first document from the result cursor into <code>reply</code>.</p>
    <note style="warning"><p><code>reply</code> is always set, and should be released with <code xref="bson:bson_destroy">bson_destroy()</code>.</p></note>
