iob_addbuf schedules \fIn\fR bytes starting at \fIbuf\fR to be written
with the I/O batch \fIb\fR.
Use \fBiob_addbuf_free\fR if you want the buffer to be deallocated
automatically by \fBiob_reset\fR.
