This is the README file for "limo", an easy-to-customize alternative to
"ls". It may be invoked as "limo" or, in the tradition of 2-letter Unix
system commands, as "li".
"limo" uses pretty standard UNIX facilities thoughout, and thus doesn't
need any (many?) changes to compile on pretty much any Unix
platform. It has been testing on Linux 2.0.x and Solaris 2.6. No
problems other than minor include file problems would be expected on
other platforms. Reports and patches are welcome.
It is reported to work under IRIX, but the compiler bitches because
st_size is an int there, not a long. You probably don't need to worry about
that.
Solaris users may wish to change the INSTALL variable in Makefile from
/usr/local to /opt.
To install:
make install
To remove:
make uninstall
"limo" is released under the GNU General Public Licence. Please read the
file LICENCE and use the software only if you agree to the terms
therein.
