linux-minidisc for Debian
-------------------------

The linux-minidisc suite contains several independent
packages intended for accessing NetMD and HiMD MiniDisc
devices.

The package minidisc-utils currently contains the utilities
himdcli and netmdcli which allow one to transfer tracks to and
from HiMD and NetMD devices respectively. Both himdcli
and netmdcli come with a manpage.

qhimdtransfer is a simple transfer application written in
Qt which allows one to transfer tracks from and to HiMD devices.
NetMD devices are currently not yet supported by qhimdtransfer,
users have to resort to the package minidisc-utilities. Also,
qhimdtransfer currently supports uploads (transfers from
the device to the PC) only, but the patches for download
are currently in review and will be integrated into the
1.0.0 release.
