<P>
<P><EM>Linuxconf</EM> uses standard <EM>Linux</EM> configuration files whenever
possible. Some services do not have a configuration file. They are
normally controlled with shell scripts, that are generally located in the
/etc/rc.d directory.
<P>/etc/conf.linuxconf provides a central location for those different
services.
