Here you may configure the printer properties, including filter set-
tings.

This data can't be changed and it's provided just for informational
purpouses. If you want to change it you may remove the printer and
create a new one defined in a different way.

This is the name how the programs know this printer.

A printer may be local (attached directy to your computer), remote,
SMB or NCP (the three last are networked printers).

These options are common for all types of printers.

Maximum size for a job being accepted. Defining it as zero means
there's no limit.

Since the login and password are stored in a somewhat insecure way,
it's a good idea have these exclusively for the printer so, in case
they're get stolen only the printer access security will be
compromised.

Username for login (it has no relation with your personal username).

Password for login.

The filter being applied to this printer. A "Text-only" printer means
the data is not filtered at all (useful if the printer is remote and
it's filtering data remotely, as example).
You may select a different filter clicking on the "Select filter"
button.

This is the desired print quality (the higher, the better).
It may be unavailable depending on the filter selected.
44..33.. PPaappeerr ssiizzee
The type of paper feeded in the printer. Note that only few settings
may apply depending on the printer hardware.
44..44.. CCoolloorr ddeepptthh
The desired color resolution for printed output.
Please note that some filters use this field as generic resolution
selector instead using the Resolution menu.

Number of pages printed per sheet (usually, just one).
44..66.. SSeenndd EEOOFF
Sends EOF character to printer after the job is done.
44..77.. FFiixx llaaddddeerr eeffffeecctt
Changes LF to CR+LF when sending job to printer. (this may be
necessary for some printers outputting correctly)
44..88.. FFaasstt AASSCCIIII oouuttppuutt
Sends ASCII data directly to printer (no filtering), resulting (for
most printers) in much faster printing.
This only affects ASCII data, raw text.

Desired horizontal margins for printing, in pixels.
44..1100.. VVeerrttiiccaall mmaarrggiinnss
Desired vertical margins for printing, in pixels.

Desired extra parameters for GS filter. Normally this is left blank.

Click on the printer you want to remove and, in its properties'
window, click on "Exclude".
