  Editing printer properties

  tings.

  11.. IInnffoorrmmaattiioonnaall ffiieelldd

SMB or NCP (the three last are networked printers).

  22.. GGeenneerraall ooppttiioonnss

These options are common for all types of printers.

  22..11.. MMaaxxiimmuumm ffiillee ssiizzee

Maximum size for a job being accepted. Defining it as zero means
  there's no limit.

  22..22.. SSuupprreessss hheeaaddeerrss

If enabled, supress printing of page header.

  33.. PPrriinntteerrttyyppee--ssppeecciiffiicc ooppttiioonnss

  33..11.. LLooccaall pprriinntteerr

  33..11..11.. CCoonnnneecctteedd ttoo

The device the printer is directly attached to. It defaults to
/dev/lp0, which is equivalent to DOS' LPT1:.

You may define it to a custom device, if needed.

  33..22.. RReemmoottee pprriinntteerr

  33..22..11.. RReemmoottee mmaacchhiinnee

The machine the remote printer is directly attached to.

  33..22..22.. RReemmoottee qquueeuuee

How the printer is called in the machine which it is directly
connected to. It MAY BE or NOT the same name as this printer is known
  in your machine.
  33..33.. SSMMBB pprriinntteerr

This type of printer requires a kind of login in order to be accessed.
Since the login and password are stored in a somewhat insecure way,
it's a good idea have these exclusively for the printer so, in case
they're get stolen only the printer access security will be
  compromised.

  33..33..44.. PPrriinntteerr nnaammee

The name the printer is known in the remote machine.

  33..33..55.. HHoosstt IIPP ((ooppttiioonnaall))

  33..33..66.. WWoorrkkggrroouupp ((ooppttiioonnaall))

  The workgroup for this printer.

  33..44.. NNCCPP pprriinntteerr

This type of printer requires a kind of login in order to be accessed.
Since the login and password are stored in a somewhat insecure way,
it's a good idea have these exclusively for the printer so, in case
they're get stolen only the printer access security will be
  compromised.

  33..44..11.. UUsseerr

Username for login (it has no relation with your personal username).

  33..44..22.. PPaasssswwoorrdd

  quality you desire.

  44..11.. FFiilltteerr ccuurrrreennttllyy sseelleecctteedd

The filter being applied to this printer. A "Text-only" printer means
the data is not filtered at all (useful if the printer is remote and
it's filtering data remotely, as example).

You may select a different filter clicking on the "Select filter"

  44..22.. RReessoolluuttiioonn
