  Install package as needed

  11.. PPrriinncciipplleess

While visiting some menus in Linuxconf for the first time, Linuxconf
checks if a recommended/necessary package is installed. You are
  allowed to install it immediately.

  22.. DDiiaalloogg

If you choose to install the missing package, you will be prompted to
insert the installation CD-rom and guided through the installation
  steps.

  33.. OOnnee ttiimmee cchheecckk

The test is done only once, so if you choose not to install the
package (because you have installed an alternative solution), you
  won't be bother again.
