<p><strong class="program">llvm-ranlib</strong> is an alias for the <a class="reference internal" href="llvm-ar.html"><span class="doc">llvm-ar</span></a> tool that
generates an index for an archive. It can be used as a replacement for GNU’s
<strong class="program">ranlib</strong> tool.</p>
<p>Running <strong class="program">llvm-ranlib</strong> is equivalent to running <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">llvm-ar</span> <span class="pre">s</span></code>.</p>
