Die Funktionen
.B asprintf
und
.B vasprintf
sind analog zu
.B sprintf
und
.B vsprintf
mit der Ausnahme, dass sie Speicherplatz fr die Zeichenkette
allokieren, der ausreichend gro ist, um die Ausgabe inklusive des
abschlieenden NUL-Zeichens aufzunehmen. Ein Zeiger darauf wird ber
den ersten Parameter zurckgegeben. Dieser Zeiger sollte an
.BR free (3)
bergeben werden, um den belegten Speicherbereich wieder freizugeben,
wenn er nicht mehr bentigt wird.

Wenn erfolgreich, geben diese Funktionen die Anzahl von ausgegebenen
Bytes zurck, wie bei
.BR sprintf (3).
Wenn die Speicherzuteilung nicht mglich war,
oder andere Fehler auftreten, geben diese Funktionen -1 zurck und
der Inhalt von

ist undefiniert.
