.SH DESCRIPTION
.B Talk
est un programme de communication visuel qui copie des lignes de votre terminal sur celui d'un autre utilisateur.

Si vous voulez parler  quelqu'un connect sur votre machine, alors \fIpersonne\fR est uniquement le nom de connexion de cette personne.  Si vous voulez parler  un utilisateur sur une autre machine, alors \fIpersonne\fR est de la forme `utilisateur@hte'.

.I "nom_terminal"
Si vous voulez parler  un utilisateur qui est connect plus d'une fois, l'argument \fInom_terminal\fR peut tre utilis pour indiquer le nom de terminal appropri, o \fInom_terminal\fR est de la forme `ttyXX' ou `pts/X'.

Au premier appel, \fBtalk\fR contacte le dmon talk de la machine de l'autre utilisateur, qui envoie le message

Cela n'a aucune importance de savoir d'o rpond le destinataire, aussi longtemps que son nom de connexion reste identique.
Une fois la communication tablie, les deux parties peuvent taper simultanment; leur sortie apparatra dans des fentres spares.  Taper Ctrl-L (^L)

forcera le raffichage de l'cran.  Les caractres d'effacement, de destruction de lignes et d'effacement de mots (respectivement ^H, ^U, et ^W en gnral) se comporteront de la faon attendue.  Pour quitter \fBtalk\fR, tapez le caractre d'interruption (normalement ^C); \fBtalk\fR dplace ensuite le curseur sur le dessus de l'cran et restaure le terminal dans son tat prcdent.

Comme netkit-ntalk 0.15, \fBtalk\fR supporte le dfilement arrire; utilisez ^P et ^N pour faire dfiler votre fentre, et mta-p et mta-n pour faire dfiler l'autre fentre  (Vous pouvez galemnt utiliser escape-p et escape-n.)

Si vous ne voulez pas recevoir de requtes talk, vous pouvez les bloquer en utilisant la commande mesg(1).  Par dfaut, les requtes talk ne sont normalement pas bloques.  Certaines commandes, en particulier nroff(1), pine(1) et pr(1) peuvent bloquer les messages temporairement pour viter de voir leur sortie "pollue".

Le protocole utilis pour communiquer avec le dmon talk est dpass.

La version de talk(1) livre avec BSD4.2 utilise un protocole diffrent et encore plus ancien qui est compltement incompatible.  Certains vendeurs de UNIXs utilisent encore ce vieux protocole.

Les vieilles versions de \fBtalk\fR peuvent avoir des problmes sur les machines ayant plus d'une adresse IP, comme les machines avec des connexions SLIP ou PPP dynamiques.  Ce problme a t rgl dans netkit-ntalk 0.11, mais peut affecter les personnes  qui vous voulez communiquer.
