mbrola-tl1 for Debian

This package installs the diphone database into /usr/share/mbrola/tl1/tl1 .
All examples go to /usr/share/doc/mbrola-tl1/examples .

You can test your installation by running:

mbrola /usr/share/mbrola/tl1/tl1 "/usr/share/doc/mbrola-tl1/examples/sent1.pho" "sent1.wav"

which will create sent1.wav in the current directory.

If you have Sox installed, you can run:

mbrola /usr/share/mbrola/tl1/tl1 "/usr/share/doc/mbrola-tl1/examples/sent1.pho" -.au | play -t .au -

to play it on the fly.
