mbrola-us2 for Debian

This package installs the diphone database into /usr/share/mbrola/voices/us2.
All examples go to /usr/share/doc/mbrola-us2/examples .

You can test your installation by running:

mbrola /usr/share/mbrola/us2/us2 /usr/share/doc/mbrola-us2/examples/alice.pho alice.wav

which will create alice.wav in the current directory.

If you have Sox installed, you can run:

mbrola /usr/share/mbrola/us2/us2 /usr/share/doc/mbrola-us2/examples/alice.pho -.au | play -t .au -

to play it on the fly.
