If you menu gives very strange results for you (like core a core dump,
or strange error messages), please do the following:

(in bash syntax):

tar -cvzf - /var/lib/dpkg/status /etc/menu{,-methods} /usr/lib/menu|uuencode mymenus.tar.gz |mail -s "menu is acting strange" joostje@debian.org


This will mail the configuration of your system to me, so that I can
examine your problems.
