I found a very informative page on protocols used to send alpha pages. The
man that writes the pages works for a member of the paging industry.

His page can be found at

Hallo Gert!

erinnere).
D2 hat jemand anders schon gepostet (Danke!)
E+ will das zur CeBit anbieten.

Hi Gert,

bekommen. Du sagst Du hackst an einem Programm das =FCber Modem/ISDN/what=
ever
SMSe rausheizen kann. Hast Du da schon was f=FCr das Siemens M1-Modul?
Wenn nicht, kannst Du da was brauchen? Habe ein rudiment=E4res Perl Scrip=
t
gehackt mit dem geht es. Kennst Du Dich mit diesem PDU-Zeug aus? Bin
will er in BCD. Haben sich irgendwelche Cobol-Hacker ausgedacht oder
ich wei=DF es nicht. Man kann aber auch ein 8-Bit Alphabet
selektieren (via Option im PDU-Header). Aber ich wei=DF nicht wie das
Alphabet aussieht. In der Doku steht nur "you can relate to the
INTEL ASCII-HEX table". Toll.
Datenm=FCll an. Sehr omin=F6s. Irgendne Idee? Vielleicht irgendwelchen

(noris network =3D=3D Xlink POP Nbg) gesprochen. Die betreiben auch Analo=
g-
Leitungen mit xDSL und zwar in OZ2! Das magische Wort bei der Bestellung
hei=DFt "analoge Leitungsf=FChrung" (telekom-deutsch f=FCr "galvanisch ve=
rbunden").

D1 ist ueber X.75/T.70 (mit 2 byte header :) zu erreichen 09116633936
D2 ueber V.110 (die trottel haben terminaladapter 8-) 01722278000

anmerkung:

Subject: yaps - yet another pager software
Status: RO
Content-Length: 1475

Hello,

may be it is well a known program to some of you and Id like to apologize
if this is the case.

I just stumbled about yaps ("yet another pager software"). yaps is able
to notify a pager with the following services:
D1, D2, E+, Telmi, Telmi-Fun, Telmi-Family, Telmi-Top, Telmi-Pro, Skyper, Quix
As it is a simple command line oriented program
(yaps <phone-number> "Text here") it should be trivial to write a script that
notifies the user that a voice/fax arrived on your unix box. (Of course
there is a much broader usage, e.g. to notify the sysop of warnings and errors).

Here is the lsm-File:

Title: yaps
