mmv (2.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

mmv now has a new upstream developer and upstream activity again.

With the new 2.x release series from the new upstream, some features
have been removed from mmv, mostly those which were buggy and/or
  extremely seldom used.

  The following features were removed:

  * Appending. (Seldomly used, does not validate the maintenance effort it
    requires.)

  * Usage of STDIN for reading the files to process. (Didn't support file
names with spaces and could lead to data loss that way. See also
    https://bugs.debian.org/149873)
