.SH DESCRIPTION
Data returned by a SELECT query must be stored before another query is
submitted or it will be removed from the internal API buffers. Data
is stored using the
.BR msqlStoreResult() .
The result handle is a pointer to a
.I m_result
structure and is passed to other API routines when access to the data
is required. Once the result handle is allocated, other queries may
be submitted. A program may have many result handles active
simultaneously.

The
.I m_result
structure is defined in
.I <msql.h>
as follows:

.RS

.ta 8n 16n 32n
typedef struct result_s {
        m_data 	*queryData,
                *cursor;
	m_fdata	*fieldData,
		*fieldCursor;
	int	numRows,
		numFields;
} m_result;
