.TH MT-DAAPD "8" "2008-10-13" "mt-daapd" "DAAP music server"
.SH NAME
mt\-daapd \- iTunes\-compatible DAAP server
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B mt-daapd
[\fIoptions\fR]
.SH DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the
.B mt\-daapd
command.
.PP
\fBmt\-daapd\fP, now known as the Firefly Media Server, is a DAAP (Digital
Audio Access Protocol) server that works with most POSIX\-compatible
operating systems. It allows you to share your music collection over the local
network using the DAAP protocol also used by Apple's iTunes.
.PP
\fBmt\-daapd\fP offers an integrated web interface for configuration
and control; the web interface is available on port 3689 (daap) with
any web browser. If \fBmt\-daapd\fP is running on the local machine,
the web interface can be reached at <http://127.0.0.1:3689>.
.PP
The interface requires authentification; credentials
are defined in the config file, \fI/etc/mt-daapd.conf\fP.
