Help for Satellite Importing

NORAD two line elements are easily found on the Internet. These contain all
of the information needed to track a satellite. Mtrack can take a two line
element file and import the data, adding and/or updating satellites as
appropriate. First you must download the file from the Internet, once it is
available as a text file, mtrack can process it. Mtrack will show a file
selection box to find the element file, once it is found, clicking "OK" will
cause it to be processed by mtrack. At the end of the process ng a message
box will appear to inform you of how many satellites have been added and how
many have been updated. Mtrack does a minimum of checking of the incoming
data, but ultimately corrupt input data can severely affect the accuracy of
mtrack.
Any new satellites added from the two line elements will not have any
categories and will therefore appear in the Choose Satellite dialog box in
the "Other" category until the satellite has been edited and given a
category.
