* : Fixed bug with getgrent() / getpwnam() crashing munged during
supplementary group processing under glibc. The use of the
non-reentrant getgrent() & getpwnam() should have been ok since they
were only called in/from _gids_hash_create(), and only one instance
of that routine could be running at a time from within munged;
as such, the use of static buffers in those routines was not an
issue. However, users running NIS or LDAP domains under glibc
reported SEGVs which were traced back to getgrent() & getpwnam().
The switch to the corresponding reentrant routines appears to have
resolved the problem. Abstractions for both getgrent() and
getpwnam() were added to address portability issues. (issue 2)

not being protected by the gids mutex. A minor race-condition
could occur if a SIGHUP was received towards the beginning of
_gids_update(). Now the mutex is held while do_group_stat is copied.
And since the mutex is being acquired at the top of _gids_update,
