This framework/library needs Fink (fink.sourceforge.net) and the following libraries:
- glib-2
- libpcre
- mysql client library, 4.1 or later
If building on MacOS X 10.3, it must be 10.3.9, as older versions had an outdated
libxml2 (needs 2.6.x, was 2.5.x)
Before building:
- open the project info panel (click on the project icon in the side
tree and press Command-i)
- in the General tab, Custom Location for "Place Build Products on:"
- type in some directory name, such as ~/guibuild
- select "Build Products Location" for "Place Intermediate Build Files on:"
For making shippable binaries, without external dependencies, remove
.dylib symbolic links from /sw/lib for libraries that are linked to MySQLToolsCommon.
For example, libglib-2.0.0.dylib
Glib from Fink doesn't include a static version (at least not now), so build one.
Run otool -L MySQLToolsCommon.framework/MySQLToolsCommon to make sure that there
is nothing from /sw/lib dynamically linked.
Note: you will also need to remove/move away /usr/lib/libxml2.2.dylib
otherwise the linker will pick it instead of the static one from /sw/lib.
