These are the MS Word files containing the latest version of the NCBI C
Software Development Toolkit (SDK). Sadly it is version 1.9, last updated
August 1, 1994. It is lacking large sections on Entrez access interfaces,
BLAST access, the internal object manager, and many alignment and editing
tools. However, it is all we have. If you are serious about using these
tools, read this which will get you started. Look in ncbi/demo. Look at
our web site. Send us email.

The document is about 300 pages long. If you would like a hardcopy, we will
send you one. Just email to toolbox@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, or phone 301-496-2475
and ask for a hardcopy of the software toolkit manual to be mailed to you.
Be sure to give us your name and address.

You can also find an HTML version of the document online at

-------------------
N.B. Be advised that lately (since 2000) most of the development
in NCBI has been done in C++, using the NCBI C++ Toolkit:
