mount.nfs, mount.nfs4 \- mount a Network File System

.SH DESCRIPTION
.BR mount.nfs
is a part of 
.BR nfs (5)
utilities package, which provides NFS client functionality.

.BR mount.nfs 
is meant to be used by the
.BR mount (8)
command for mounting NFS shares. This subcommand, however, can also be used as a standalone command with limited functionality.

.BR mount.nfs4 
is used for mounting NFSv4 file system, while 
.BR mount.nfs 
is used to mount NFS file systems versions 3 or 2.
.I remotetarget 
is a server share usually in the form of 
.BR servername:/path/to/share.
.I dir 
is the directory on which the file system is to be mounted.

Mount file system readonly.

Be verbose.

Print version.

Mount file system read-write.

Do not update

By default, an entry is created in

for every mounted file system. Use this option to skip making an entry.

Print help message.

Specify NFS file system version. Either

or 
.BR nfs.
If the command is 
.BR mount.nfs4 
or the 
.I vfstype 
option of 
.BR mount(8) 
command is nfs4, then version 4 is used, else version 3 or 2 is used.
