Identifying a PowerCom UPS:
In the following I will share my belief that PowerCom is
actually a generic name for UPSs that is marketed all over the
world in diffrenet names.
My UPS is called advice Partnet/King PR750. It is described in
www.advice.co.il/product/inter/ups.html.
As a first identification aid please note that it has 3 leds and
one push botton switch. It also had audioble beeps for various
state warnings.
You can easily see that it looks exactly like
www.amplicon.co.uk/upsKing.html. And although I did not verify it
line by line I believe that both the electrical and mechanical
spec are pretty much similar.
Now www.exploits.org/nut/library/compat.html mentions PowerCom
and Trust as similar. Indeed the docs of the Trust in the NUT docs
dir have the spec for the same cable that I have and in general the
behaviour that the ups-trust425+625.c model describes is the same
as the one that my UPS shows. And I tend to say that what
www.powercom-usa.com/product/ups/kingpro/kingpro.html describes is
very similar to my model. More over. The MS software that was provided
to me with my UPS has exactly the same package and its screen shots
looks very similar to the ones on
http://www.powercom-tw.com/pi/sfu/frame.htm.
All in all I hope I have managed to convince you that my claim about
PowerCom being a generic name has a solid basis.
There for, to summarize, here are the companies I believe having UPSs that
are based on this generic name:
Advice, Amplicon, Belkin, PowerCom, Trust
This is probably a partial list. Can you add other names?
