nxml-mode for Debian
--------------------

James Clark recommends his "trang" program to translate DTDs to the
RELAX NG syntax required for context-sensitive editing of XML by
nxml-mode. It is now available in Debian's "trang" package; you can
also download it from:

http://www.thaiopensource.com/relaxng/trang.html

Also, a discussion list is available at Yahoo! Groups:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/emacs-nxml-mode/

There is also an FAQ available at:

http://www.dpawson.co.uk/relaxng/nxml/nxmlGeneral.html

COMPATIBILITY WITH MULE-UCS

The nxml-mode package has a known conflict with the Debian mule-ucs
package; if you wish to use nxml-mode while keeping mule-ucs
installed, export the environment varialble DEB_MULEUCS_UNICODE=off in
your shell startup file.
