<p>The 'sqrt' function calculates the square root of 'expr' and returns
this result.</p>

(sqrt -1.0) <font color="#008844">; error: square root of a negative number</font>

<p><b>Common Lisp:</b> Common Lisp allows for integer numbers, which
XLISP does not support for 'sqrt'.</p>
