<dt>(rest <i>expr</i>)</dt>
<dd><i>expr</i> - a list or list expression<br>
returns - <i>expr</i> with the first element removed</dd>
</dl>
<h2>Description</h2>
<p>The 'rest' function returns the remainder of a list or list expression
after first element of the list is removed. If the list is
<nobr><a href="nil.htm">NIL</a> ,</nobr>
<a href="nil.htm">NIL</a> is returned.</p>
