For the hopelessly impatient, "man os8", "mkdir temp", "cd temp", "os8"

If your personal copies of the images are damaged, simply delete them 
and the os8 script will recreate them.

os8 may overwrite your personal PDP8 files in the future...
Copy anything you really want to save, out of your directory
