NOTES ON THE CONTENTS OF THIS DISK
This distribution is for UNIX systems even though it is being transported
on DOS floppy disks. The file, pact-src, mentioned in the instructions
from the README file is named PACT.SRC on the DOS disk. In addition, the
DOS disk contains the complete PACT documentation (even in its present
immature state) in PostScript form. The file is called PACTDOC.TZ and
is a gzip'd tar file. Once transported to a UNIX system it should
be renamed to pact-doc.tar.gz. Then it can be uncompressed and untar'd.

These files are all UNIX files! They must be transported to a UNIX system
without any kind of translation or filtering (especially no newline
conversions)!!!!!!
