These will be provided in the package's documentation
for reference.

Paxtest results' examples
-------------------------

This directory contains sample logs for the execution of paxtest. These
results logs are generated by running paxtest on different kernel.
configuration in different environments.

Alongside the results distributed by paxtest upstream (PaX_x86_64.blackhat and
PaX_x86.blackhat) you will see different results of paxtest execution in:

- The standard Linux kernels in Debian 'sid' (unstable) distribution for
 different years (2.4 kernel - 2007, 2.6 kernel in 2010, 4.4 kernel in 2016)

The early 2.x series of kernel did not include any stack-protection features
at all. Later kernels (4.4) do provide some security features.

- Linux kernels patched with grsecurity as distributed in Debian 'sid' in 2016
which provide most of the security features provied by the GRsecurity patch

For more information on Grsecurity, please see

 https://wiki.debian.org/grsecurity (Debian-specific)

 or

 https://grsecurity.net/
