.Sh DESCRIPTION
.Nm pc532down
is a utility to support downloading to the monitor ROM on a pc532 system.
If you don't already know what a pc532 is, you don't want to know, and you
don't want this utility. This utility is also provided as part of the pc532
distribution of NetBSD under the name 'download.c'.

The command is typically called as a subprocessor from a terminal emulation
program, to slurp up a file on the host system and spew it out the serial port
using the stdio redirection supported by most terminal emulators.

The default behaviour is to open "file" and ship it out standard
output with the format expected by the pc532 ROM monitor's download command.

If the '-r' option is specified, it assumes that standard input was
generated by a pc532down. In this case, the input is captured, the CRC is
checked, and the data is stored in "nfile". This is mostly useful for testing.
.Sh AUTHOR
This program was written by Bruce Culbertson, hacked by Phil Nelson, and is
maintained for Debian Linux by Bdale Garbee.
