If I may reiterate what features are needed:

 * The user needs an environment
     \begin{slide}
        \slideheading{String}

        matter
     \end{slide}

   In case matter is taller than one screen, it should automatically
   wrap.

 * We need a macro "\topic{String}" which generates a fullscreen slide
   where all we have is string. These strings should be used for
   generating the menu which is shown on the right-hand top of screen.
   (This is done).

 * \maketitle needs to generate a pretty front page. (This is not
   done currently).

 * The default fonts need to be larger. (This is not done).

 * All this behaviour should get switched on when the user says
   \usepackage[slideshow]{pdfscreen}
   A separate file mysetup.tex and a hacked pdfscreen.cfg should not
   be required. (This is not done).

 * There should be a convenient way to make a colour postscript file
   out of the file, in case the user needs to print it out on a colour
   inkjet printer onto slides. E.g. one might have to say
   \usepackage[slideshow,print]{pdfscreen}

 * The pdfscreen distribution should include one or two demos of
   slideshows.

 * The pdfscreen distribution should include a HOWTO on mixing ppower4
   and pdfscreen, with one or two demos of this in action.

   In both cases I will be happy to supply you with demos.

 * Installing pdfscreen is a pain - it involves fragments like
   truncate.sty which have to be assembled together. There should be
   a debian package which stands on top of a teTeX installation and
   gives the user a beautifully working pdfscreen. (DONE)

 * The debian package should hook into ppower4 so that it gets
   installed also when the user wants pdfscreen.

I would be really thrilled if we could release a new pdfscreen as a
Debian package which does all this.

       -ans.
