The upstream source code for this package is composed by 3 components:
* doc-base;
* doc-en; and
* phd.
doc-base contains the tools and resources used to build the documentation.
doc-en contains the DocBook files for the English documentation.
phd is the PHP DocBook project, used to build the documentation.
For historical reasons, the versioning of the package is based on the date of
the last commit in the doc-base project. While we could use the doc-en project
to extract the package version, since it changes more often than doc-base, we
may want to ship the documentation in additional languages in the future and
doc-base is updated often enough. We may revisit this in the future and swap
the main component in debian/watch.
The doc-base source is repackad for two reasons. We need to remove non-free
files, as described in debian/control, and we need to change the directory
structure to set the project in the directory structure expected by phd.
Upgrading this package is generally done through gbp.
gbp import-orig --no-pristine-tar --uscan --component=en --component=phd --debian-branch=debian/main
