<!-- Process this file with docbook-to-man to generate an nroff manual
     page: `docbook-to-man manpage.sgml > manpage.1'.  You may view
     the manual page with: `docbook-to-man manpage.sgml | nroff -man |
     less'. A typical entry in a Makefile or Makefile.am is:

manpage.1: manpage.sgml
	docbook-to-man $< > $@

	The docbook-to-man binary is found in the docbook-to-man package.
	Please remember that if you create the nroff version in one of the
	debian/rules file targets (such as build), you will need to include
	docbook-to-man in your Build-Depends control field.

    <title>DESCRIPTION</title>
    <para></para>

    <para>This manual page was written for the &debian; distribution
      because the original program does not have a manual page.
    </para>

    <para>
      <command>&dhpackage;</command> is a web photo album which enables
      you to easily publish your pictures on your website.
    </para>
    <para>
      Using <application>php</application> and
      <application>ImageMagick</application> or the <application>gd
      library</application> phpix creates thumbnails, thumbnail pages and a
      site navigation.
    </para>
    <para>If <application>ImageMagick</application> is used for resizing the
      images, the pictures can also be rotated to the right angle. The

    <title>GETTING STARTED</title>
    <para>
      To add your own picture album to phpix, create a new folder in
      <filename>/var/www/phpix/albums</filename> and put the pictures in
      it. That's pretty much it. You can see the pictures generated by phpix
      at: <address><otheraddr>http://localhost/phpix/</otheraddr></address>
    </para>
    <para>
      There should be a link to the new created folder.
    </para>
    <para>
      In case you want to create a new instance of phpix in a different
      folder, please read phpix-create-new-instance (1).
    </para>
