pgaccess - note on connection methods
=====================================

pgaccess can connect either to a Unix socket on the local machine or
to a TCP/IP connection.

If you wish to use TCP/IP, the postmaster on the server must have been
started with the -i option.

To use a TCP/IP connection, enter the target host name in the host field
in the Open Database dialog.

To use a Unix socket, leave the host field blank. (If you put
"localhost" here, pgaccess will try to use a TCP/IP connection, even
though you are talking to the local machine.)
