This package contains the header files for programming front-ends
to the PostgreSQL backend. It also contains the ecpg language for
embedding SQL in C programs; this was formerly a separate package -
ecpg.

When compiling with postgresql include files, add
-I/usr/include/postgresql to your compilation options.

For fuller information, install postgresql-doc and refer to the
documentation in /usr/share/doc/postgresql-doc.
