Printbill is reported to work on the following platforms, in descending
order of supportedness:

Debian GNU/Linux 3.0+ (woody, sarge, sid - definitely works here because
that's where I use it). If printbill is important to you, consider setting
up a Debian box, because that is where it is most likely to work.

FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE (this is now an officially supported platform). I will
hopefully test 5.0 when it is eventually released. I'm sure it will work
fine. I'm told it works on OpenBSD, so I'd be very surprised if it doesn't
work on NetBSD as well.

Slackware 7.x (others use this at UoW, so I know it works there)

RedHat 6.2, 7.x, 8.x (I don't use RedHat much, but I have a more-or-less
working .spec file so you can build your own RPM if desired).

Mandrake (reported to work)

Solaris 8 (reported to work)

I think it should also work on SuSE, I have no idea about SCO/Caldera
OpenLinux or any of the more obscure distributions. If it's Debian or RedHat
derived it probably will work.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone gets it going on other platforms, in
particular:

* Mac OSX
* IRIX, AIX, HP/UX, other commercial Unix...
* Cygwin (maybe not as insane as it sounds...)
* VMS (!)
