Používáte-li pro své soubory xml systém pro správu verzí jako <application>git</application>, pak potřebujete přiznat (commit) změny, aby se číslo nenastavilo znovu při spuštění jinými uživateli. Tato unikátní čísla jsou velmi důležitá, neboť se v Drupalu používají jako cesta url. Kromě toho <application>Publican</application> rovněž vytvořil v adresáři <filename>en-US</filename> soubor databáze nazvaný <filename>max_unique_id.db</filename>.
