pterm uses two processes rather than one. What's going on?
----------------------------------------------------------
Like other terminal emulators, pterm is setgid utmp, so that it can record
your login in the utmp, wtmp, and lastlog files. Rather than holding this
extra privilege while it runs so that it can record you logging out as well,
it forks a helper process to handle this task and then drops privileges.
Although this is different from other terminal emulators, the extra process
is there by design, not a bug.
