python-xml for DEBIAN

This is the debianized version of the new and probably incomplete XML
package for Python. The modules in this package have been developed
independently by the members of the PSA XML-SIG, and have now been
collected into a single package tree.
This package diverts xmllib.py and sgmllib.py in the standard Python
distribution to its own improved versions; these use a C module to
give an approximately fivefold increase in speed over the pure-Python
versions.
Please note that this is beta software, built from a CVS snapshot.
Parts of it may not work as expected. (Don't be alarmed: most of the
package is extremely useful. This warning is only intended to alert you
to the fact that the code is still under fairly active development.)
