GNOME QuickRes Applet, 1999 (c) Vicente Aguilar <vaguilar@retemail.es>
_______________________________________________________________________________

GNOME QuickRes Applet is a small program that sits on a GNOME panel,
providing you with a list of all the valid X11 video modes defined in the
XF86Config file for fast mode switching, just like that icon in Windoze 9X.
It started as a Quick-And-Dirty-Hack(tm) of the gtkuickres program by Ian Moore
(take a look at the README.gtkuickres file) and some GNOME applets from the
gnome-core package.

The program requires a working gtk and GNOME installation (of course ;D)
and the XFree86 VidMode extensions (any recent XFree86 release implements
them.)

GNOME QuickRes Applet is distributed under the terms of the GNU General
Public License v2.0 (read the COPYING file).

Refer to the program's home page at
http://members.es.tripod.de/~bisente/gquickres/indexe.html
for more up-to-date info.

DISCLAIMER :

GNOME QuickRes Applet comes with NO WARRANTY AT ALL!!! Take a look at
the COPYING file for more info. Basically, if it breaks something, or if
it eats your dog, degauses your HD or burns your house, IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

Compiling and Installing :

    make && make install  :)

(Only make install if you downloaded a binary distribution)

The Makefile makes use of the gtk-config and gnome-config scripts, so
you should have a working gtk and GNOME installation for it to work.

If something goes wrong, you can edit the Makefile.conf file to adjust
    some parameters (compiler, flags, directories...)
